As each year from the beginnig, the Onyx Restaurant team goes together for holiday to take a break, relax and gain professional experience in order to provide constantly the highest quality service to our guests.

Onyx Among the Finalists
We have fantastic news! Onyx has been chosen to be a finalist of the best fine dining restaurant category at the highly acclaimed Gold Key Awards for Excellence in Hospitality Design. Mr. Zoltán Varró designer’s work has been selected from 504 applications in 21 categories, and not only once, but twice, because he had another great work to show, the Science Hotel in Szeged. The awards will be held in New York, November 14 and we hope that Onyx will be among the winners!
New Chefs at Onyx
It is our pleasure to introduce the new leading team of Onyx: Mr. Ádám Mészáros chef, Mr. András Pető sous chef and Ms. Ágnes Tóth, the head of Gerbeaud’s kitchen. We have been working with them for long years, so we trust them entirely and we know for sure that they will impress also our guests.
In our restaurant we place a great emphasis on continuity and to make for our team members possible to learn and develop. Ádám Mészáros and András Pető have been of key importance for our kitchen from the beginning, and now they are the ones, who oversee and define Onyx’s spirits. We are very proud of them and are happy to work with them.
After our Annual Summer Closure we will welcome our guests with a new opening time and menu offers at the Onyx restaurant.
The Onyx restaurant will be closed for its Annual Summer Closure beginning on Sunday, July 31st through Monday, August 22nd, reopening for dinner service on Tuesday, August 23rd.
During this time you can make reservations via our website.
After the closure, we will serve lunch on Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 12pm last arrival 1pm. The new menu will be a four course one and we offer a six course Chef’s menu as well. For further information please visit Onyx lunch menu, on our website (from the end of August).
The dinner service will be available from Tuesday to Saturday, and you can choose between the six and the eight course menus.
We open from 6:30pm last arrival 8:30pm.
